Privacy Policy
In short
- We collect what we need to run ParlayDesk: your account details, the parlays you track, what you choose to post in Community, and basic technical data.
- Your public Community identity is your @username and profile photo. Your first and last name are not shown publicly.
- Bet slip screenshots you upload for AI import are sent to an AI provider to read them. We don’t save the image.
- Payments are handled by our billing providers. We never receive or store your full card number.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.
1. Who we are
ParlayDesk (“ParlayDesk,” “we,” “us”) is a sports parlay tracking, research and community service available at parlaydesk.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use ParlayDesk, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. ParlayDesk is not a sportsbook. We don’t accept wagers, hold wagering funds, or have access to your sportsbook accounts.
2. Information we collect
Account information
Sign-up and sign-in are provided by our authentication provider, Clerk. When you create an account, Clerk collects:
- your email address and username (both required)
- your password, if you sign up with one. Clerk handles it. ParlayDesk never receives or stores your password.
- your first and last name and a profile photo, if you choose to add them
- if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares, such as your name, email address and profile photo
Clerk also keeps session and security information, such as the browser and device you signed in from, and an IP address and approximate location (city and country) derived from it. You can see your active sessions in Account → Security.
On our own servers we keep an internal account record linked to your Clerk account, including your plan (Free or Pro), subscription status, and AI import usage.
Parlays and tracking data
We store the parlays you build and track, including parlay names, legs (for example player or team, market, line, odds and over/under), results, and live progress. This also covers historical bets you enter manually and Builder drafts saved to your account.
Community content and activity
If you use Community, we store your username (@handle), optional bio, the parlays you share, captions, comments, likes, follows, blocks and any reports you submit. See Community and public information for what others can see.
Bet slip screenshots
If you use AI bet slip import, you upload a screenshot image. See AI bet slip import for how it is handled.
Billing information
If you subscribe to Pro, payment details are collected and processed by our billing providers, not by ParlayDesk. See Payments and subscriptions.
Support messages
When you contact us through Support & Feedback, we store your message, its subject and type, the page you sent it from, and our replies.
Notification data
We store your in-app notifications, your notification preferences and, if you turn on push notifications, information about each device you enable. See Notifications.
Technical and log information
Like most websites, our servers and service providers automatically receive technical information when you use ParlayDesk. This includes IP addresses, browser and device type (user agent), the pages and addresses requested, referring pages, timestamps, and error details. We use it to deliver the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tools.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account and keep you signed in
- provide ParlayDesk’s features, including tracking and grading parlays, Stats, Research, Community, and AI bet slip import
- show your public Community profile and content to other people, as you choose
- process subscriptions, apply your plan’s features and limits, and tell you about billing problems
- send the in-app and push notifications you’ve chosen
- respond to support requests and reports
- moderate Community, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and prevent fraud, spam and abuse
- operate, maintain, debug and improve ParlayDesk
- comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of our users, ParlayDesk and others
Community Trends and Community Stats show aggregate figures calculated from tracked parlays across users. They don’t identify who made each pick. Historical bets you enter manually are not included in Community figures.
4. Community and public information
Community is a public feature. The following can be seen by other ParlayDesk users. Where it is reached through a public link, such as a profile page, a Community post link or a parlay share link, it can also be seen by people who aren’t signed in:
- your @username and profile photo
- your bio, when you joined, whether you have a PRO badge, and your follower, following and shared-parlay counts
- the lists of people you follow and who follow you
- parlays you share, including the parlay name, legs, live progress and results, and your caption
- your comments, and like counts on posts and comments
Your first and last name are not part of your public Community identity and aren’t shown to other users. Choose a username and profile photo you’re comfortable making public.
Anyone who can see what you share could copy it, take screenshots or share it elsewhere, and we can’t control that. Please don’t include personal information, such as your real name, contact details or sportsbook account details, in captions, bios, comments or parlay names.
How to limit what’s public:
- Unsharing a parlay removes it from Community.
- Deleting a comment removes it.
- Share links: when you create a share link for a parlay, it captures a snapshot that anyone with the link can open. You can revoke a parlay’s share link at any time with Revoke link on that parlay. Deleting the parlay or your account also revokes it. After that, the link no longer opens. Unsharing a parlay from Community doesn’t revoke its share link, so revoke it separately if you want to.
5. AI bet slip import
AI bet slip import reads a screenshot of a bet slip and turns it into legs you can review before adding them to a parlay.
- What is sent: the screenshot you upload (PNG or JPEG) is sent from our server to our AI provider, OpenAI, through its API, with instructions to extract the wager selections. We don’t send your name, email or account identifiers with it. Anything visible in the image is sent, though.
- What we keep: we process the image in memory to handle your request. We don’t save it to our database or file storage, and it isn’t kept after the request finishes. We store a record that an import used one of your AI import credits. The extracted legs are returned to you for review. They become part of your saved bets only if you add them to a parlay, just like legs you enter manually.
- Diagnostic logs: to keep imports working reliably and to troubleshoot problems, our server logs record limited details about each import, such as the selections that were read (for example the player, market and line), how they were matched, and an internal reference to the import’s AI import credit record. These logs don’t include the screenshot, your name, your email address or your account ID, but we can link an import to your account through that internal reference. Server logs are kept as described in How long we keep information.
- The AI provider: under OpenAI’s current API data policies, data sent through its API is not used to train OpenAI’s models by default, and OpenAI may keep API inputs and outputs for a limited time (currently up to 30 days) for abuse and misuse monitoring, subject to its own policies and legal requirements. See OpenAI’s API data controls for details.
Before you upload, crop out anything you don’t want to share, such as your name, account number, balance, email or location. AI extraction can be wrong. Always check the extracted legs against your sportsbook before relying on them.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are sold through Clerk’s billing service, which uses Stripe to process payments. Your card or other payment details are entered into forms provided by those services and are handled under their terms and privacy policies.
ParlayDesk never receives or stores your full card number or security code. Our servers store your plan, subscription status, a subscription reference and when it last changed. When you view your account, we may show limited payment details from our billing provider, such as the card brand, last four digits, expiration date and recent payment history. These are shown to you but are not stored by ParlayDesk.
7. Notifications
In-app notifications (the bell) record events such as a leg hitting or missing, a parlay being graded, Community activity (likes, comments, follows) and subscription problems. They are stored with your account.
Push notifications are off until you turn them on in Account → Notifications and allow them in your browser. For each device you enable, we store the push subscription your browser gives us (a push-service address and encryption keys), a simple device label such as “Chrome · Android”, and delivery status. We don’t record the device’s IP address for this.
Push messages are delivered through the push service operated by your browser or device maker (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft). Message contents are encrypted for your browser. Notifications can appear on your lock screen and may include a player, prop and line, your parlay’s name, or another user’s @username. They never include payment details, your email, or anyone’s real name.
You can turn off all push notifications or individual types, remove devices, and turn push off on the device you’re using, in Account → Notifications. You can also revoke permission in your browser settings.
10. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy. After that, some information may be kept for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or as part of backups. In particular:
- Account, parlay, Community and notification data are kept while your account exists, unless you delete them sooner.
- Bet slip screenshots are not stored by ParlayDesk (see AI bet slip import).
- Server logs and database backups are kept for limited periods and deleted or overwritten on a rolling basis.
- Support messages may be kept after account deletion so we have a record of the request and our response.
- Information held by our service providers is kept according to their own policies.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Account → Security → Delete Account. When you do:
- any active Pro subscription is canceled immediately, and Pro access ends
- your sign-in account is deleted from Clerk
- we delete your parlays and legs, historical bets, share links, Community profile, posts, comments, likes, follows and blocks, notification history and preferences, push device registrations, and AI import usage records
Some information may remain after deletion:
- support messages, which are no longer linked to your account
- reports you made about other content are deleted. Reports others made about your content may remain as moderation records.
- payment and transaction records our billing providers are required to keep
- copies in server logs and backups until they are rotated out
- anything other people copied or saved while it was public
Deleting your ParlayDesk account doesn’t affect any sportsbook account or wager.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, a specialist authentication provider, access controls on our systems and database, and rate limits against abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password, and tell us through Support if you think your account has been compromised.
13. Your choices and rights
You can:
- update your name, profile photo, password and sessions in Account
- edit your Community bio
- unshare parlays, revoke share links and delete your comments
- manage notification preferences and push devices
- manage or cancel your subscription from Account → Billing
- delete individual parlays or your whole account
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights about your personal information, such as the right to request access to it, correct it, delete it or get a copy of it. To make a request, contact us as described below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we’ll respond as required by applicable law. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
14. Age requirements
ParlayDesk is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and at least the minimum legal age for sports wagering where you live, to use it. See our Terms. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we’ll delete the account and its information. If you believe a minor is using ParlayDesk, please let us know.
15. Where information is processed
ParlayDesk is intended for users in the United States. We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as ParlayDesk changes. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we’ll give reasonable notice before they take effect, for example with a notice in ParlayDesk.
17. Contact us
For privacy questions or requests, contact us through Support & Feedback in the account menu while signed in to ParlayDesk.
