Community Guidelines
In short
- Talk sports, share your parlays, and disagree without being abusive.
- No harassment, hate, threats, scams, spam, impersonation, or sharing other people’s private information.
- Nobody can guarantee a winner, so don’t sell or promise one.
- Report anything that breaks these rules. We may remove content and restrict accounts that do.
1. The basics
ParlayDesk Community is a place to share parlays you’re tracking, follow other bettors, and talk about picks and results. These guidelines apply to everything you post or do in Community: your @username, profile photo and bio, shared parlays and captions, comments, likes and follows. They sit alongside our Terms of Service.
You’re responsible for what you post. What you share in Community is public. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what others can see.
2. Be respectful
Trash talk about teams and picks is part of sports. Attacking people is not. Don’t:
- harass, bully, insult or repeatedly target another user, including through repeated likes, follows or comments meant to annoy
- threaten violence or harm against anyone, or encourage others to do so
- attack or demean people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics
- post sexually explicit, graphic or gratuitously violent content
- mock or pressure someone about their losses, or encourage anyone to bet more than they can afford
3. Be honest
- No impersonation. Don’t pretend to be another person, a ParlayDesk staff member, a sportsbook, a league, a team, a player or a well-known handicapper. Don’t pick a username or photo designed to mislead.
- No fake engagement. Don’t use multiple accounts, automation or coordinated schemes to inflate likes, follows or comments, or to manipulate Community Trends or Stats.
- No fabricated records. Don’t misrepresent your betting history or results to promote yourself or others.
4. Betting-related content
Sharing picks, opinions and results is welcome. Remember that every pick carries risk. Don’t:
- claim or sell “guaranteed,” “lock,” “risk-free” or “fixed” winners, or promise that anyone will profit
- sell picks, tips, subscriptions or betting services, or direct people to paid pick groups
- promote illegal or unlicensed gambling, or help people get around age, location or self-exclusion rules
- share or ask for sportsbook logins, account access, bonus codes, or offers to place bets for others
- discuss or promote match-fixing, point-shaving or betting on inside information
Picks shared in Community are users’ opinions, not advice from ParlayDesk. Please read our Responsible Gambling page.
5. Spam and commercial activity
Don’t post spam, repetitive or unrelated content, chain posts, or advertising for products, services, websites, social accounts or referral links. Community isn’t a marketplace.
6. Privacy and personal information
- Don’t post anyone else’s private information, such as real names people haven’t made public, addresses, phone numbers, emails, workplace details, financial or sportsbook account information, or photos of them without permission.
- Don’t try to identify, locate or expose (“dox”) another user.
- Be careful with your own information too. Crop screenshots and avoid putting personal details in parlay names, captions or your bio.
7. Illegal and harmful content
Don’t post or link to:
- anything illegal, or content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity
- any content that sexualizes minors. We remove it and may report it to the appropriate authorities.
- scams, phishing, or attempts to get people’s money, passwords or personal information
- malware, malicious links, or links designed to deceive people about where they lead
- content that encourages self-harm
8. Other people’s content
Only post content you have the right to share. Don’t post material that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights, such as other people’s paid content or copied articles, or images you don’t have permission to use. If you believe content on ParlayDesk infringes your rights, report it to us with enough detail to identify the content and your rights in it.
9. Accounts and platform abuse
- Don’t create accounts to evade a suspension or restriction.
- Don’t use bots or scripts to post, follow, like or scrape Community content.
- Don’t interfere with ParlayDesk or abuse reporting tools, for example by filing false or bad-faith reports.
10. Reporting and blocking
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report option on the post, comment or profile. Choose the closest reason and add details if they help. Reports are reviewed by the ParlayDesk team, and the reported user isn’t told who reported them.
You can also block a user to stop interacting with them. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
11. How we moderate
We don’t review everything before it’s posted, and we can’t catch everything. We rely partly on reports. When we find content or behavior that breaks these guidelines or our Terms, we may, at our discretion:
- remove the content
- restrict or suspend your ability to use Community
- suspend or terminate your ParlayDesk account for serious or repeated violations
- report content to law enforcement where required or appropriate
We consider context, severity and history. Repeated violations lead to stronger action, and some violations, such as threats, content sexualizing minors or scams, may lead to immediate removal from ParlayDesk. If you think we’ve made a mistake, contact us through Support & Feedback in the account menu.
We may update these guidelines as the Community grows. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed.
